The Lumineers' UK debut single, "Ho Hey", has gained well over 100-million YouTube views.

The daytime concert at one of Joburg's favourite outdoor music venues will follow two night-time performances at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens in Cape Town on 4 December, and feature supporting acts Majozi, Dear Reader and Alice Phoebe Lou.

The Denver, Colorado-based band, led by founding member-songwriters Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion) and including Neyla Pekarek (cello, vocals), Stelth Ulvang (piano) and Ben Wahamaki (bass), was nominated for "Best New Artist" and "Best Americana Album" at the 2013 Grammy Awards.

According to Wikipedia, the band's debut album, The Lumineers, reached number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart in January 2013, was certified Platinum in the US and Ireland and Gold in the UK, Australia and Canada.

Tickets for the Cape Town concerts are already sold out, and are reportedly selling fast for the one-off concert in Joburg. The show runs from 12 midday to 6pm at the Botanical Gardens, and tickets - costing R465 each - can be bought through Webtickets.
