Rietfontien Nature Reserve – This 25-hectare of indigenous green space offers environmental educational tours that take 3-4 hours in the morning and afternoons. Rietfontien offers hiking, target shooting, mountain biking, 4 X 4 Trails and a viewing of bushman paintings.

Innesfree Farm - The facility is often used for motor shows, arts and culture exhibitions and is an excellent spot for picnics and outdoor shows.

Delta Park – One of Johannesburg's biggest green lungs and an ambler’s paradise, Delta Park offers 13-hectares of grassland and woodland to explore.

Emmarentia Dam and Johannesburg Botanical Garden – The combined area of the dam and its gardens is over 100 hectares, which is fortunate as this glorious emerald of a park, with its contrasting areas of activity and serenity, draws an inordinate amount of visitors on a daily basis.

Melville Koppies Nature Reserve –  Follow a footpath through nature leading to a hilltop with panoramic views, see a variety of plants, birds, small mammals and snakes, be exposed to historical sites - all while staying in Joburg.

Jukskei River Park – This park is suitable for events of 250–500 people, and can handle filming of commercials, large and small corporate events, exhibitions and photography.
